The Waban Improvement Society is thrilled to announce the reopening of the Waban library as a privately run community center renamed the "Waban Library Center." While maintaining and growing a wonderful collection of books to be made available to you during user-friendly hours (did someone say evening hours??), we are also expanding the mission of the library by offering a variety of classes to our community, beginning the week of September 21st.
Take a look at our course offerings in the catalog (found at www.wabanimprovement.org) and register today -- we have talented and passionate instructors of yoga, creative writing, Mandarin Chinese, conversational Spanish, creative movement, hip hop, guitar, choreography, musical theater and much more! All of our classes are described in the catalog and a registration form and instructions on how to register are at the back. Classes are limited in size so please register before August 15th to ensure your space! If you have any questions about the classes, the schedule, instructors or otherwise, please email us at wabanlibrary@gmail.com.
The Waban Improvement Society is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. We count on your support and tax deductible donations. If you would like to make a contribution, please go to our web site (www.wabanimprovement.org) and donate online.

I absolutely adore my nanny, but with all 3 of my kids (ages 7, 4, and 2) in school in the fall, I will be reducing her hours. She is looking for an additional 20-25 hours per week. If you think you may need some help part-time as well, you can contact her at becka2632@gmail.com. Her name is Becka Daverin... She is excellent with the kids and she’ll help with laundry, bathing, driving, and meals for them. If you’d like to talk to me as well, you can reach me at lisa@gersten.com.
Thanks.

We need to repaint our porch and would love any recommendations for a company you had a good experience with.
Thank you!

Come learn about this nurturing community of children and families. Serving the Newtonville area for over 50 years, Bowen embraces the whole child with a developmentally appropriate, rich curriculum in an exciting environment. We welcome children who are 2.9 years to 5+ years of age. We are especially proud of our Transitional Kindergarten which is designed for older 4's and young 5's who might need another year to develop socially or academically before moving to Kindergarten. We are located at 96 Otis Street, off Lowell and near Newton North High School. For more information about our school, please call 617-332-3923 or visit our website at www.bowencoop.org.
